For this project I am really excited to work on light mapping. After the artist talk, we experienced earlier in the semester I have been thinking about how I could orientate my person videos and ideas in this final artist show. I am still not sure as always on what I want the theme to be at this moment, but I have this idea of family movies and how I could incorporate the weird videos and pictures I take of my daily life. Additionally, I do not know how I would do an interactive part for this project, and tie people into the story I will be laying out. I think it would be interesting if they were involved more so than I, as to create a sort of “adoption” into the family video. I have always thought that family videos are pretty fun, but I personally have not been in any – just did not have a video camera around. I could also go in a different direction depending on how my video sourcing goes and if I have to make a slideshow of random photos I have taken along the way. I will work further on curating my portfolio and rendering my personal videos. Worst case scenario I will steal a couple of random videos off YouTube that could also be an added layer to the story and add the more random family aspect. This can lead into a tale of adoption, but also the term “found family” which I personally resonate with.
